Dear pirates,
After a great Pirates Week in January, Maastricht is ready to recruit a fresh batch of pirates.
This August, we will start our journey again with not one but two programs, in collaboration with Maastricht University.
We will start in the warm days of August, on the 17th of August with an exciting week of Social Entrepreneurship for our first Startup Pirates @ Maastricht: the Social Edition.
From 24 to 30 August, the second batch of buccaneers will join to develop their more commercial projects.
Which one fits you best?
Are you interested in making the world better? Do you find yourself enjoying social projects? Have you ever considered joining a charitable organization or an NGO? If yes, the Social Pirates Edition would fit you best.
Do you enjoy the thrill of entrepreneurship and have always wanted to create your own venture? Do you often find challenges in all you do and spot the opportunities to improve products and services? Then the regular Startup Pirates program would definitely be an opportunity for you to develop your ideas further!
This does not mean that social startups cannot be commercial or that commercial startups cannot address a social cause, you should choose the one that most fits your values in creating a business: do you add value from a social dimension or do you dream of becoming the next Mark Zuckerberg?
